In architecture, a deck is a flat surface capable of supporting the weight, similar to a floor, but typically constructed outdoors, often elevated from the ground, and usually connected to a building. The deck of a house is generally a wooden platform built above the ground and connected to the main building. It is generally enclosed by a railing for safety. Access may be from the house through doors and from the ground via a stairway. Residential decks can be constructed over steep areas or rough ground that is otherwise unusable. Decks can also be covered by a canopy or pergola to control sunlight.

Deckwood
Brazilian Garapa
Garapa decking is a beautiful hardwood featuring a light yellow to golden brown color. As the wood naturally weathers, it takes on light silvery grey tones which means there is no need to apply annual sealers. A Garapa deck is resistant to rot, decay, splinters, scratches, and even fire – naturally without any chemical treatments.
Brazilian IPE
Ipé, often called Brazilian walnut, is a beautiful exotic wood from South America. Typically used for decking and other outdoor applications, Ipé structures are hard, strong, and naturally resistant to rot, abrasion and weather. It is almost twice as dense as most woods and up to five times harder. It is dark brown in Colour, like a mahogany.
